When a death is reported on the news we forget how it affects family and friends.

In my book LIGHTNING CHANGE after the death of my brother and sister-inlaw you will follow my family from the depths of sorrow to times of laughter.

My story is based on an event that changed my life. On July 18, 1971 a lightning bolt near the town of Red River, New Mexico claimed the life of four people. My brother, Glenn Cowsar and his wife Helen were two of the four killed. The lightning also injured two, one being Anita, my ten year old niece. With my permission, Glenn and Helen’s wills had named me guardian for their two daughters. That day my family of four became a family of six.

If you are struggling, either through a death or divorce to mold two families onto one I hope my story will inspire you. The blessings of doing this are far greater then the struggles. I encourage you to keep climbing each mountain that God sets before you. Each obstacle will make you stronger.
